Professor William Fisher is a Research Professor at the George Perkins Marsh Institute of Clark University (USA).From 1992 to 2000, he taught in the Department of Anthropology at Harvard University, and before that, at Columbia where finished his PhD in anthropology.
He has published a book on Thakalis, Fluid Boundaries: Forming and Transforming Thakali Identity in Nepal (2001), which was based on his PhD dissertation.
